Reflexive verbs in Spanish end with an -SE, as in DESPERTARSE or ENTRENARSE. They are actions that one does to oneself as in DESPERTARSE – to awaken oneself , or ENTRENARSE – to train oneself.
The key is NOT TO FORGET THE REFLEXIVE PRONOUN, or you change the meaning of the verb.
