All of the Spanish-spaeking world January 6, or the Epiphany is celebrated. The Tres Reyes Magos, or the Three Wise Men, pay a visit to children on January 6th. As with all Hispanic traditions, there are many way that El Dia de los Tres Reyes Magos is celebrated.
- Children write a letter to Los Reyes Magos enumerating their good deeds and good behavior
- Some make requests for specific treats or items
- A shoe or a sock is left for the Kings to fill with treats either by a window, under the bed, or by the Christmas tree
- Happy children wake up to their treats
